MWI joins the Blue Tech Index: driving innovation in maritime decarbonisation

Marine Weather Intelligence has been named among the top 40 start-ups in the Blue Tech Index. Highlighted in the “Transport and Decarbonisation” category.

On Tuesday, December 17, Marine Weather Intelligence proudly participated in an exceptional event at the MEDEF headquarters in Paris. Organised by the Cluster Maritime Français, this event unveiled the second season of the Index Blue Tech, a selection that highlights the 40 most promising start-ups in the maritime sector. We are proud to share that Marine Weather Intelligence was selected in the “Transport and decarbonisation” category, alongside five other French start-ups.

The Blue Tech Index

The Blue Tech Index is an initiative designed to increase the visibility of start-ups working in the maritime industry. Created in 2023, the Index is part of the “Journées de l’Innovation Maritime” (“Maritime Innovation Days”). Supported by Indosuez Wealth Management, NextInnov Banque Populaire – Crédit Maritime, MEDEF, and Ouest France – Le Marin, this program aims to build a stronger innovation network in the maritime sector and improve access to funding.

This year’s edition highlighted 40 start-ups across eight categories. The goal of the Index is to raise awareness of these innovators, simplify investment processes, and strengthen the support available to emerging companies.

Recognition for Marine Weather Intelligence

Being part of the Blue Tech Index is a significant milestone for Marine Weather Intelligence. Our inclusion in the “Transport and Decarbonisation” category acknowledges our commitment to accelerating the energy transition in the maritime sector. Using artificial intelligence and innovative solutions, we aim to create cleaner and more efficient shipping solutions.

This recognition reinforces our mission to tackle critical issues in maritime operations, such as reducing emissions, managing uncertainty, and optimising vessel routing.

A shared vision for a sustainable future

Marine Weather Intelligence is honoured to be part of this transformative movement. We believe that collaborations like these, supported by initiatives such as the Blue Tech Index, are crucial for driving meaningful change in the industry.
